My grandmother was facing a panic attack, actually it is very painful. I understand your situation as i was very close to my grandma.

Just want to highlight the symptoms which she was facing and some of recommendations suggested by doctors , I have posted here, hope it may be useful to you.

The symptoms may include trembling, dyspnea (shortness of breath), heart palpitations, chest pain (or chest tightness), hot flashes, cold flashes, burning sensations (particularly in the facial or neck area), sweating, nausea, dizziness (or slight vertigo), light-headedness, hyperventilation, paresthesias (tingling sensations), sensations of choking or smothering, and derealization.

These physical symptoms are interpreted with alarm in people prone to panic attacks. This results in increased anxiety, and forms a positive feedback loop.

Many panic attack sufferers as well as doctors recommend breathing into a paper bag as an effective short-term treatment of an acute panic attack.

However, this treatment has been criticised by others as ineffective and possibly hazardous to the patient, even potentially worsening the panic attack.

They say it can fatally lower oxygen levels in the blood stream and increase carbon dioxide levels, which in turn has been found to be a major cause of panic attacks.

You can go through this reference link

Please share your feedback, i feel this will be a great helpful for you to overcome your problem. Please feel free to reach in case of any queries and share your feedback.
References :
http://tinyurl.com/npqq5a

As I know, Panic Attacks are very sudden. Experiencing a panic attack is said to be one of the most intensely frightening, upsetting and uncomfortable experiences of a person's life.

Panic attacks are commonly linked to agoraphobia and the fear of not being able to escape a bad situation. Many who experience panic attacks feel trapped and unable to free themselves.

The symptoms of a panic attack commonly last approximately thirty minutes. However, panic attacks can be as short as 15 seconds, while sometimes panic attacks may form a cyclic series of episodes, lasting for an extended period, sometimes hours.

Sufferers of panic attacks often report a fear or sense of dying, going crazy or experiencing a heart attack or flashing vision, feeling faint or nauseated, heavy breathing, or losing control of themselves.

There are people going through with medication, Cognitive behavioral therapy or Paper bag rebreathing.

One of collegue who are also suffered from Panic Attack sometime ago, she told me there is another technique which is completely natural approach eliminating 100% of general anxiety and panic attacks. She showed me the information at:

http://tinyurl.com/nclr6q

She, my collegue cured her panic attack from the treatment by Joe Barry which you can find information at that site.

It guarantee your anxiety will vanish, your Confidence Will Soar
and the results Last A Lifetime! Drugs certainly won't help much and it may caused even worst. So, I do recommend you to undergoing your treatment method naturally.

I hope this help and all the best!
References :
http://tinyurl.com/nclr6q

"Is Any Of This Experience Familiar To You?

Maybe you found yourself in the hospital's ER because you thought you were having a heart attack only to be told later it was anxiety?
Do you ever fear you might stop breathing because your chest feels tight and your breathing erratic?
When you drive do you fear the idea of getting stuck in traffic, on a bridge or at red lights?
Do you ever feel nervous and afraid you might lose control or go insane?
Have you struggled with anxious thoughts that will not stop?
Do you ever feel uncomfortable in enclosed spaces such as supermarkets, cinemas, public transport or even sitting at the hair dressers?
Are you nervous and on edge in normal situations that never bothered you before?

Do You Feel Any Of The Following Bodily Sensations?

Dizzy spells leading to panic
Tightness in throat and chest- shortness of breath
Racing heart with tingle sensations
Hot flushes followed by waves of anxiety
Obsessive worries and unwanted thoughts
Not feeling connected to what is going on around you
Overwhelming fear that the anxiety will push you over the edge?

These and other similar uncomfortable sensations are all too common but the truth is you do not have to ever suffer from another panic attack or anxiety attack again

I'll explain why

Most of the people I deal with have been struggling with anxiety disorders for many years and have usually exhausted themselves looking for a solution in every book, course, or treatment program out there. By the time they get to me, they are very skeptical (as is natural) and have little faith in ever getting rid of their condition.

My grandfather has had many experiences with panic attacks/Anxiety.An dealing with it has been quite a problem.

He was also prescribed Xanex. The doctor said this wasn't a healthy method of dealing with it.It came up on many situations when he was alone with the family and thus it would interrupt our Vacations/Family time.

I've read some really good success stories on this product here and it seems to be working for alot of people maybe you should try it out.

If this doesn't work The most natural method I have come across is changing the way you eat.I was recently reading this article and I believe if you change the way you eat it will solve your anxiety problem.

Having anxiety is really painful, I know.

I travel a lot to do seminars and I get panic attacks and develop severe anxiety when it comes to flying.

I use to get xanax from my doctor, who will no longer give it to me because they say I'm acting like a big baby and I need to grow up and get over it.

Easier said than done.

However, since speaking international is important for our business, I do travel still and I have found using NLP type stuff on myself works.

However, I've read some really good stories about people having success using this method here to deal with anxiety and panic attacks.

http://tinyurl.com/lxml9a

If here has used this please let me know what you think and how it's worked for you.

So far, I read only great things and with the pain of anxiety it's worth testing this method to finally be rid of anxiety and panic attacks forever.
References :
http://tinyurl.com/lxml9a

Drs don't recognize anxiety it for what it is, an intolerance, sometimes to chemicals, and even if they did, they don't know homeopathic treatments, like elimination diets. Chin up, your future is much brighter now.

Anxiety is an allergic reaction / intolerance. And is also a symptom of an allergic reaction called anaphylaxis (reaction to a protein) or anaphylactoid (reaction to anything else, like chemicals). Anxiety is a version of "dread" + panic attack - symptoms associated with anaphylaxis / anaphylactoid reactions. Those names are versions of acute apprehension that comes from elevated chronic apprehension from chronic reactions to foods or chemicals in the environments or on clothing.

Anxiety = autonomic neuropathy = allergy or intolerance. Sensitive neurons, like fear /fight or flight regulating neurons are causing glitches (electrical surges) and those signals change brain chemistry. That's what those neurons do. Surges are signals that are too many in number end up making other body parts work too fast, such as the cell channels that regulate serotonin availability, hence too much fear occurs. Weak, fussy neurons, everyone has some, cause these problem. They are very sensitive to harsh stimulation from poisons and chemicals we take for granted. Our nervous system changes as we age or was never cared for as it should have been. Consumers not too informed about these things. Your medication can't do the job alone. It's working against antagonists. Make a few changes and you may not need the drugs at all. In fact at least one of your prescriptions, Xanax, contains a non-organic drug filler as many drugs do. Ergo, it contains trace amounts of pesticides. If you are sensitive to pesticides, that's something you out not to take. Non-organic drug fillers can correct one neuropathy while causing another. Those are called "side effects". I learned about non-organic drug fillers from my local pharmacists.

Treatment: Protect frail neurons so they stop over-reacting to harsh substance in the environment, products, and in food.. Avoid all stimulating substances. Use only unscented laundry detergent (Tide-free or baking soda - 1 cp / load). Avoid fabric softener of all kinds, perfume, after shave, scented shampoos, air fresheners, etc. Dish detergents can bother anxiety / mood neuropathies in some people. Palmolive original is the only one I can use - everything else makes me fussy. Use baking soda for toothpaste and Colgate's Peroxyl rinse for mouthwash - easy on the neurons. Rewash all bedding and pillows right away, then do some clothes.

Use only Aleve (nongelcaps) Avoid vitamins /drugs when possible unless with no starch, lactose, gelatin, wheat, corn - all non-organic and bad for fussy neurons. Check your drug inactive ingredients at www.rxlist.com. Avoid processed foods of all kinds - they can contain chemicals that stimulate the nervous system neurons. Bad for touchy neurons. Eat only organic food with all organic ingredients, drink only organic whole milk, organic O.J. (w/o calcium from lactate or citrate) spring water, and cook with spring water. Use only pickling salt (others have non-organic ingredients - pesticides over-stimulate fussy neurons). Real all labels closely.

Use emotions to notice problem products or chemicals in environment. Become a detective. If no anxiety, then no reaction to harsh substance. Not all foods and products are suitable for all people, because not all nervous systems are alike. Anxiety is a symptom of that. Therapists are not allergists or neurologists. Save big bucks. Apply home treatment first. Nervous system interacts with external chemicals and poisons. Reduce nervous system chemical load so fussy neurons don't get hysterical. This works. May feel better over night once bedding is washed in gentle detergent. Once everything is in play, give it at least a week for neurons to calm down. It's a new lifestyle. Good luck to you.
You could try drinking chamomile tea, It's calming. Also fish oil vitamins and B complex.

I have panic disorder and use the same medications as you, I think it's the standard treatment.
References :
What are some holistic alternatives for treatment of aniety/panic attacks?
I have been having anxiety/panic attacks almost daily for 5 months. I was prescribed .25mg xanax and paxil. I really wanted a natural method of treatment and used sam-e and other similar over the counter product but nothing seemed to work. I felt completely lost and started using the xanax to treat the symptoms. So far the xanax has worked. I have yet been able to find a doctor that will treat me any other way than with prescription drugs. Please help.
